Mental Strength Training: Master Your Mindset for Everyday Life. A 3-Part Workshop Series.
Inner peace and suffering are states of mind; therefore, their primary causes are found within us, not outside of us. If we want to be truly free from suffering, we must learn how to navigate and strengthen our minds.
Rooted in Buddhist philosophy, this workshop series welcomes anyone looking to cultivate a more peaceful state of mind, regardless of external circumstances. It is especially helpful if you are struggling with frequent stress, anxiety, or low mood, or if you simply feel "stuck" in your current situation.
Throughout these three weeks, we will explore the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. You will learn how shifting your thinking patterns can create greater inner peace, contentment, and resilience. Because our thoughts give rise to our emotions and physical sensations, changing how we process a situation is the key to changing how we feel.
What you will gain:
-
Mind Training: Learn the power of realistic thinking versus getting lost in "stories" and drama.
-
Habit Building: Practice noticing unhelpful patterns and replacing them with perspectives that foster confidence and joy.
-
Emotional Regulation: Learn to honour and regulate your emotions so you can respond to life authentically, based on your core values.
-
Self-Care: Discover how self-compassion and self-validation can become constant companions in your healing.
-
Meditation: Each session includes a guided meditation practice to cultivate deep inner stillness.
Join us to explore your internal patterns and shift toward a more empowering way of living.

About Me
I believe that caring for your mental health is just as vital to your quality of life as physical exercise and nutrition. While most of us know how to maintain our physical bodies, the tools for nurturing our minds are often less understood. My mission is to bridge that gap by teaching people how to harness the power of their thinking to live a life of greater ease, joy, and freedom.
My Approach
With extensive experience as a mental health nurse serving students, parents, and educators, I’ve learned that the most impactful support meets people exactly where they are. I focus on easing suffering and unlocking potential, even when external circumstances remain unchanged. By blending the ancient wisdom of Buddhist philosophy—which teaches that suffering is a state of mind—with modern Western mental health science, I help clients transform the fearful patterns and limiting beliefs that hold them back.
How I Help
Mental health is more than just the absence of illness; as defined by the WHO and PHAC, it is the capacity to realize your own abilities, cope with life's stresses, and truly enjoy the world around you. Through my work, I empower individuals to:
-
Identify and Shift Thinking: Breakthrough patterns of fear and limiting self-talk.
-
Enhance Relationships: Build healthier connections with family, colleagues, and yourself.
-
Master the Mind: Cultivate a productive, fruitful life by focusing on the transformative power of thought.
-
Positive mental health enhances every facet of our lives. Together, we can work toward a state of well-being that allows you to act, think, and feel in ways that help you thrive.
